The Opportunity

We are looking for several Casual Fieldwork Assistants to join our London team to assist with NRG’s various fieldwork activities in and around the London area. This role will provide operational support for NRG’s Recruited Audience film screenings as well as projects related to films’ opening weekends.  This work is an important part of NRG’s history in pioneering the film research industryFieldwork will take place at specified times, so this is an ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in part-time, evening, or weekend work. Your Impact

There are several different tasks that our casual workers carry out at NRG which could include:   

 

Recruited Audience Screenings  

  • Recruit participants to attend free market research screenings of upcoming film releases  
  • As a member of our screenings team assisting with tasks such as managing queues, checking-in audiences, guiding attendees to their seats, and distributing and collecting questionnaires 
  • Booking attendees to attend test screenings. Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite with working from home a possibility. 

 

Opening Weekend in Theatre/Exit Surveys 

  • Casual Fieldwork Assistants will work at an assigned cinema and ask selected audiences to take part in self-completion surveys. 

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience We’d love for you to have prior experience working in market research or promotions.  An understanding of confidentiality and GDPR would be preferred. 
  • Passion An enthusiasm for motion pictures and the entertainment industry will be helpful for this role.  
  • Customer Service – Strong customer service skills as there will be communication with clients and the general public. Event experience is beneficial.  
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as you will be interacting with colleagues at all levels. 
  • Great Team Member – Team player who can work collaboratively and harmoniously within a team and across teams. You will roll up your sleeves to help get the job done and no task is beneath you.  
  • Tools Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

Position Type

This is a zero-hour contract position. Please note that NRG is under no obligation to provide work to casual employees; similarly, casual workers are not under any obligation to accept work offered.  

 

Work Environment 

Based at varying locations around London, plus some occasional office-based or remote work. Will sometimes be required to work outside of London. Work for the upcoming week is assigned to individuals who call in with their availability. Fieldwork will take place at specified times, so this is an ideal job for someone who wants part-time, evening or weekend work.
