NRG is a leading global insights and strategy firm at the confluence of content, culture, and technology. We stay ahead of what’s next, providing fresh insights to spark new ideas. We’re a trusted partner to our clients, working behind the scenes to bring imagination, depth, and clarity to their biggest challenges - in entertainment, technology, lifestyle, sports, and gaming. Together, we create with confidence.
We’re proud of our company’s values - these values guide us as we navigate sunny days, gray skies and everything in between:
We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Event Equipment Support to provide hands-on, at times physically demanding, support to our screenings technology team. This team ensures the smooth delivery of NRG’s in-person theatrical screening business - a cornerstone of our company’s history in pioneering Hollywood research and continuing to fuel today’s global film industry. Movie studios and other clients rely on our ability to execute screenings with precision and care, making this role essential to our success.
The staff member will work primarily from our Los Angeles office, helping to prepare, load, and transport Pelican cases of tablets and other technology equipment in and out of vehicles. The role involves working non-standard hours and supporting the logistics of screenings technology. Over time, there may be opportunities to expand into assisting with in-theater setups, including Wi-Fi and equipment configuration.
If you are dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with physical work, and looking for steady part-time hours that support the business of film, this opportunity is for you.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position with variable hours. Hours vary week-to-week, typically 0 to 12-15 hours. Screenings will require evening and possible weekend work. We try to give as much notice for screening events as possible (typically the week prior). Call times are typically around 2pm during weekdays and around 8am during weekends, and shifts may last around 4-8 hours (sometimes more) depending on the length of the movie and location of the screening.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the center of all our practices to ensure that NRG is a place where people from all identities and backgrounds can thrive. NRG is committed to recruiting and retaining diverse talent by supporting their growth through learning programs, internal mobility, affinity group participation, and leadership development. Our differences make us a stronger workforce and enhance our creativity and innovation. We are proud to be an inclusive workplace for all and are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.
In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the compensation for this position is expected to be around USD $20.00 per hour.
