The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Event Equipment Support to provide hands-on, at times physically demanding, support to our screenings technology team. This team ensures the smooth delivery of NRG’s in-person theatrical screening business - a cornerstone of our company’s history in pioneering Hollywood research and continuing to fuel today’s global film industry. Movie studios and other clients rely on our ability to execute screenings with precision and care, making this role essential to our success.

The staff member will work primarily from our Los Angeles office, helping to prepare, load, and transport Pelican cases of tablets and other technology equipment in and out of vehicles. The role involves working non-standard hours and supporting the logistics of screenings technology. Over time, there may be opportunities to expand into assisting with in-theater setups, including Wi-Fi and equipment configuration.

If you are dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with physical work, and looking for steady part-time hours that support the business of film, this opportunity is for you.

Your Impact

  • Support the screenings technology team by preparing, safely loading and unloading Pelican cases of tablets and related technology equipment in and out of vehicles.
  • Assist with transporting equipment to and from the Los Angeles office at scheduled times, often during non-standard hours.
  • Ensure all technology equipment is packed, stored, and handled carefully to maintain readiness for screenings.
  • Work closely with the Specialist, Business Operations and Screenings Technology to stage equipment for upcoming screenings and return it after use.
  • Learn and assist with basic technology setup tasks, including preparing tablets, powering devices, and connecting Wi-Fi equipment in theaters.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and assist with inventory tracking of equipment to ensure nothing is lost or damaged.

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience - Previous experience in a hands-on role such as warehouse, logistics, stage crew, facilities, or other physical work is helpful, but not required. We’ll provide training.
  • Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliability and Punctuality - This role involves working non-standard hours, sometimes early mornings or late nights. Being dependable and showing up on time is essential.
  • Physical Tasks - You will regularly load and unload heavy Pelican cases of tablets and equipment in and out of trucks, and move gear between storage and venues. Comfort with repetitive lifting (up to 60 pounds) and safe handling practices are required.
  • Driver’s License - A valid, clean driver’s license is required, and proof of insurance as you may be asked to rent and drive vans to transport equipment to and from screenings.
  • Attention to Detail - You follow instructions closely and handle equipment with care to ensure everything is ready for screenings.
  • Confidentiality - You must maintain strict confidentiality regarding screenings and client information.
  • Teamwork - You work well with others, supporting the Specialist and Director, and contributing to a collaborative environment.
  • Flexibility - Willing to adapt to changing schedules and screening needs, and open to learning new skills such as basic tech and Wi-Fi setup.
  • Transportation - Screenings are held in and around the Los Angeles area including Sherman Oaks, Northridge, San Bernardino County, Orange County, Long Beach, and other areas. Reliable personal transportation to screening events will be needed.
  • Growth Mindset - Interest in developing skills around technology setup, troubleshooting, and event operations is a plus.
