The Opportunity

Our Trends & Futures team is seeking a Marketing Manager to amplify NRG’s voice at the intersection of culture, technology, and innovation. In this role, you’ll help us shape the global conversation—ensuring our boldest insights and thought leadership reach the world’s most influential tech and entertainment brands.

This is a role focused on strategic activation, not routine reporting. You will lead the charge in building expertise authority, transforming our research into high-visibility moments and positioning our experts as the definitive voices both online and on global stages. From fueling our social presence to crafting narratives that land on industry-leading platforms, your work will ensure NRG is front and center in the conversations that matter most.

If you are a storyteller who loves turning data into a brand movement; if you thrive on generating visibility for big ideas; and if you’re ready to help one of the world’s leading research firm "own the room"—this opportunity is for you.

Your Impact

Thought Leadership Content Support

  • Set the editorial direction and quality bar for how NRG’s proprietary research and frameworks become market-facing content, partnering with senior strategists and the thought leadership team to shape narratives, structure, and distribution across blog posts, white papers, microsites, and social.
  • Run the planning cadence for the content calendar, ensuring priorities are clear, inputs are timely, and the broader team can execute with consistency and momentum.

Brand Voice and Digital Presence

  • Act as a steward of NRG’s voice, translating it into practical guidance (examples, do’s/don’ts, review standards) so the team can apply it consistently across collateral and platforms.
  • In partnership with Marketing Operations Coordinators, strengthen day-to-day website and social execution by clarifying priorities, improving briefs, elevating QA, and ensuring content is optimized, high-quality, and aligned with our expertise.

Sales and B2B Enablement

  • Elevate the standard for sales materials by defining what “good” looks like (story arc, proof points, modular structure) and enabling the team to produce persuasive, insight-driven one-pagers, case studies, and microsites.
  • Advance B2B marketing for ad sales platforms by shaping the narrative system behind success stories and toolkits, ensuring materials are easy to use, consistent, and effective for client-facing teams.

Events and Executive Coordination

  • Provide strategic guidance and coordination for NRG’s presence at industry conferences and client summits, aligning goals, themes, and messaging, and partnering with Marketing Operations Coordinators on execution from submissions to on-site materials.
  • Strengthen executive visibility programs by identifying high-value speaking and byline opportunities and helping translate them into a cohesive set of supporting assets.
  • Align closely with sales and strategy to define priority audiences and ensure coordinated marketing touchpoints before and after key gatherings.

Reporting and Optimization

  • Build a performance-driven feedback loop by tracking and interpreting campaign and content performance, then translating learnings into actionable improvements for stronger engagement and growth.

Project Management

  • Improve how work moves by setting clear briefs, expectations, and workflows across internal partners and external vendors (designers, copywriters, etc.), so projects stay on time, on budget, and at a consistently high standard.

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience – 3-5 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally with a focus on thought leadership, sales enablement, or ad sales marketing.
  • Your degree(s) – Ideally looking for a B.A./B.S. degree in areas such as marketing, communication or a related field. Additional degrees are welcome!
  • Content Creation: A strong portfolio of writing and content development. You can take a complex data set or research report and turn it into a clear, engaging story for a LinkedIn post, blog, or one-pager.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at once—from a webinar series to a sales deck—ensuring they stay on schedule and maintain high quality.
  • Event Support: Experience managing the "moving parts" of industry events, such as coordinating materials, managing deadlines, and supporting senior speakers.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfortable using CRMs (like Salesforce or HubSpot) and marketing tools to track campaign performance and pull basic reports.
  • Stakeholder Management: You are a "confident collaborator." You are comfortable working with senior-level strategists to gather information and can present your work clearly for feedback.
  • Sector Interest: A genuine interest in the media, entertainment, and technology landscape. You keep an eye on industry news and can spot opportunities for our brand to join the conversation.
  • Keen Eye for Detail: You notice when font sizes change unexpectedly or a proper noun isn’t capitalized. Errors don’t get past you and you are always focused on ensuring high levels of quality control.
